Richard P. Schulze
Richard is an accredited VA attorney with over 25 years of Elder-Care law experience. His private law practice emphasizes creating effective estate plans for his clients utilizing a variety of tools and techniques, including revocable and irrevocable trusts and specialized Eldercare Wills. He is highly skilled in assisting clients in qualifying for and receiving Medicaid and the Veterans’ Aid & Attendance benefit.
Richard received his bachelor of arts degree from Reed College in Portland, Oregon. He received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Willamette University College of Law in Salem, Oregon and his Master of Business Administration for the Atkinson Graduate School of Management.
Rich is a member of ElderCounsel, WealthCounsel, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys as well as Elderlaw Answers.

In addition to membership in these organizations, Richard has a broad professional background ranging from working as general counsel for a financial services firm to work in some of the largest law firms in the State of Nevada.A widely acclaimed speaker, Richard is a frequent lecturer to the public and professionals on estate, Medicaid, asset protection and tax planning matters.
Rich lives in Washoe Valley. In his free time, he enjoys hiking in the desert with his dogs and Powerlifting.

Melissa T. Hartman
Melissa is the Senior Paralegal with Schulze Law Group, where she provides direct assistance to fellow professionals and our clients. She has an in depth understanding of the Veterans Aid & Attendance Benefit and uses this to assist eligible veterans and their spouses qualify for and obtains this needed long term care benefit. In addition, her extensive experience makes her uniquely qualified to assist our clients in their legal and estate planning needs.
Becky Contos
Becky’s primary duties include ensuring we fulfill our clients’ needs as effectively and efficiently as possible. She has frontline accountability for delivering our services and is uniquely competent to fulfill this duty from years of experience in customer service and her wide range of skills.
